Lulbury wax is made from pure coconut and rapeseed and is a completely natural plant wax. Once lit, this natural wax will pucker and have an uneven surface, this does not detract from your candles performance and is a natural feature of plant wax.
The fine bone china vessels would love to stay with you! Some ideas for upcycling – Store your cotton buds or make up pads, keep it as toothbrush holder, keep in pens and pencils, pop in a tea light, save spare change in it, plant little herbs or seeds, keep your hair bands or clips in one place, organise scissors & tweezers – the possibilities are endless!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- How to best enjoy your candle
- The first time you light your candle, let it burn for up to 4 hours. This allows the molten wax to reach the edges. If it does not reach this ‘full melt pool’ in 4 hours do extinguish it
- Try not to burn the candle for periods of less than 3 hours at a time as this can result in ‘tunnelling’. (That annoying thing when you get a hole down the middle of the candle and lots of wax left at the sides!)
- Before lighting the candle each time, carefully trim the wick to 5mm – this promotes an even burn, reduces sooting on the vessel and 'mushrooming' of the wick. Leaving the wick to get too long can cause it to ‘droop’ and the flame to dim
Candle Safety
Never burn a candle longer than 4 hours at a time
Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface
Before each burn, carefully trim the wick to 5mm
Keep your candle away from children and pets
Never move a burning candle
Always extinguish your candle using a snuffer
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Keep your candle away from curtains and draughts
Leave around 1cm of wax in the bottom of the candle – never burn it until it's completely empty as the container may overheat
