This pattern was created for textiles magazine Selvedge in 2019. Selvedge is a bi-monthly journal that chronicles the textiles of the world, their history and their present incarnations, how they are made, coloured, used and embellished. The pattern evokes embroidery and is slightly different in its three different iterations and colour ways. The colours used are all equivalents of ancient natural dyes that have historically been used to dye cloth.
Cambridge Imprint paper is printed in England on FSC paper of archiving quality, using vegetable oil-based inks that are kind to the environment. Each sheet is printed in one or two hand-mixed inks on uncoated 90 gsm stock to create a high-quality matte paper with a hand-printed feel.
Each sheet measures 50 cm x 70 cm.
