Seedball Wildflower Tins

Support garden wildlife, pollinators and biodiversity with these carefully selected seed ball mixes. Choose from combinations designed to attract bees, butterflies, beetles, birds, hedgehog-friendly insects or bats, as well as a fast-growing edible salad selection. They are ideal for window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens, making thoughtful gardening gifts, eco-friendly gifts and birthday gifts.

Wildlife mixes include native and pollinator-friendly flowers such as cornflower, poppy, chamomile, forget-me-not, white campion, birdsfoot trefoil, yarrow, wild carrot, tufted vetch, self-heal, purple loosestrife, musk mallow, red campion, meadowsweet, oxeye daisy, white clover, common knapweed, field scabious, foxglove, great burnet, borage, evening primrose, wallflower and night-scented stock. They help provide nectar, pollen, seeds and insect-rich habitat for bees, butterflies, beetles, birds, hedgehogs and bats. The butterfly mix uses flowers recommended by Butterfly Conservation.

The edible selection contains fast-growing salad crops including salad rocket, kale, green and red mustard and cress. These can be grown indoors on a sunny windowsill, in a pot or in a garden bed.

Each tin contains 20 seed balls. Depending on the selected mix, each ball contains approximately 8–50 seeds, with most containing around 30 wildlife-friendly or edible seeds. One tin covers approximately 1 square metre in a garden or 3–5 medium-sized pots; for best results, leave at least 10cm between scattered balls. Scatter from early spring until late autumn, with wildlife mixes best sown in spring or autumn, and keep well watered while growing.
